Please plan on having your 1st grader wear pants or shorts with tall socks, and toe covered shoes (Wood ticks will be out) for our Sibley State Park field trip on Friday, May 10th. It would be worth your time to check them out for ticks when they return home.

Happy Snowy Day!
We are working on geometry in math. We will talk about 2-dimensional and 3-dimensional shapes. Please have your child bring in a few objects that can be left in our "Shapes Museum" for several days. The objects should not be valuable or breakable. Here are a few ideas....something that has a triangle, circle, or a square in it. Today may be a great day to gather some shapes around the house. Be sure to label any object you want returned. Thank you! Congrats to 1st graders! They've earned PJ Day tomorrow, Tuesday, April 9th, for their Pawsitive Pride in Music class. Way to go!
"Her first nurse works early." Yes, this amazing sentence has all of the Bossy "r" sounds we are studying this week. The spelling list is especially tricky, so encourage your 1st grader to start practicing now. Remember to hand in your Field Trip slips, too. Thank you! |
